"It's Jesus Birthday - Let's Celebrate".

10.30am, Sunday 21st December at The Lighthouse.

Our combined music groups provided a wonderful lead for us to sing a range of carols in brackets throughout the service, including special accompaniment by Christina on harp and Russell on  trombone.

Andrew had recorded interviews with pedestrians up town sharing what Christmas meant to them - family, food and fellowship were the consensus priorities out on the street.

Amy introduced a DVD reflection on the loneliness of those who do not have family and friends to spend Christmas with and put in a plug for the Room at the Inn Community Christmas meal.

The children presented a reflection on the Fruits of the Holy Spirit in the context of sharing our gifts, talents and abilities particularly through Operation Christmas Child.

Our two most senior Lighthouse partners, Pine and Margaret, cut a magnificent celebration cake for Jesus' birthday while everyone sang Happy Birthday.

Pastor Russell also gave a short reflection on Christmas

The service was followed by a great time of hospitality and fellowship over a picnic barbecue.
